Fall Layers + Thrifting Tales!

I strongly dislike Summer. I think it is pretty in theory, but I can't stand it when it comes around. I find the hot, humid and sticky air extremely uncomfortable and I prefer layers. Layers are not possible in the Summer. Thus being said, it's Fall! Let's all embrace and celebrate. I know I am. I have retired all my body revealing clothing. Nothing wrong with that type of clothing! I just prefer French Fries over squats. My prerogative. Boyfriend jeans, plaid button ups, oversized sweaters and beautiful combat boots. How glorious does that sound? Canada's weather is extremely confusing. Getting dressed in the morning is pretty much Russian Roulette. I refuse to bring back out my shorts though, so I'm forever dressed for Fall. This sounds like a venting session, it's not..I promise. I'm going to point out my Fall Favourites!
Thrifting: Go crazy! I run around like a kid in a candy store in those places. Here's a tip ladies: Mens Section. Go there! Oversized sweaters and plaid button ups galore.
Combat Boots: As seen in the picture, mine are from Topshop! They are the cut out boots and they are absolutely wonderful.
A bit on the painful side when trying to break them in. Patience is key!

Layers: I have on a Siren's Cardigan and a thrifted Flannel. I can't post links to either of these because they can not be found online..wah. Sorry, boo boos. You get the picture. The more layers the better! It's comfy and fashionable.

Beanies: I wore these in the damn Summer. I'm committed to my beanies. Toques, hats..whatever you want to call them. All of these ones are from Topshop..surprise.

It isn't fall without hot drinks! This has nothing to do with fashion but I want to show you all this amazing tea! Read the reviews, fall in love, and enjoy this wonderful tea. The benefits are amazing and it really is more than just a comforting drink.

Lastly, I leave you with a half selfie. A bottom half selfie. Enjoy my go-to outfit for Fall!

Feminine Suits FTW!

If you would've asked me a couple years ago what my opinion on suits for women, I would've politely rolled my eyes and went on how I would never be caught in them. Keep in mind, I also said that about straight leg pants, crop tops, and overalls. Oh, how the times change. Anyways, I have been won over. 100%. I am in love. There is something so feminine yet not over the top about pant suits for women. It screams power and respect but still adds grace to your look. The more bold the print, the better. You can't really go wrong, even if you decide to keep it simple with a solid colour. The outfit speaks for itself. Don't let your previous thoughts or first reactions when you hear 'pant suits' sway you. For me, there is something so damn alluring about this outfit. I can't describe it. Don't stray from the real you. Pair it with a nice pointy-toe heal, or even with your favourite pair of converse. Accessorize and play it up with a solid colour purse and a bold necklace. I've pulled a few different outfits for example.
This is one of my favourites from Topshop:
Tartan is a huge staple piece for fall! What better way to wear it then in a matching pants suit! Be still my heart.

ASOS:
This maaaaaaay be my all time favourite. I may love it more than coffee, or my cat. Just a bit. It's simple, yet says so much. You can't go wrong trying to dress this outfit up, or dressing it down for a more casual approach. It can be worn so many ways! I need it. Not a want, a need. The struggle is real.

River Island:

This is freaking fantastic. The print makes my insides happy. Nothing more to say about this one.

Now, I know this is probably a step out of everyones comfort zones. If it isn't, you rock. Let's be friends. However, between the Tartan patterns and the solid suit with the stripe down the side, keep your eye out for more of these badboys. You won't regret this timeless investment.

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target!

As the man who dished out my most sought after Leather Trackies, ( see previous post) I am beyond excited for this!! He is a genius. With his looks that range from everything to grunge, rocker-chic, to even classic blouses and fitted dresses. He has something for everyone. Unlike my $1300 leather trackies, he has completely affordable pieces that will be coming to a Target near you! I'm from Canada and according to my research, it comes out September 15th! I know where my money will be going. Considering his prices that I've seen, this stuff is amazing! Anywhere from $20-$300. He has timeless pieces and I truly believe he will become a regular household name. Not like he isn't already there now, but you get the picture. I highly suggested heading over to the link I'm about to post which shows the Lookbook.
Enjoy, my lovelies. I know I will even though my bank account won't. Le Sigh. It's research, right? No. Sshh.

NYFW!

Fashion Week Madness!

Sadly, I can not take part in this. Boo. Let's be serious, it isn't even an option at this point. However, I get to follow the experience through social media! The best thing next to the real thing. I follow many Fashion Bloggers on Instagram and get to hear/see all about their NYFW adventures! New York Fashion Week is always the most exciting one, for me at least. So from scrolling through, I am going to give you a list of the top Fashion Bloggers I follow and what they are wearing/bringing/a NYFW must have.

Instagrams:
Danielle Bernstein- She is a combination of pretty unicorns and pixie dust. She is amazing, as is her style. You can find her at @weworewhat
Chiara Ferragni- She is not only a Fashion Blogger but also has her own Shoe Line out! Hello, she's is wicked. +Chiara Ferragni Instagram: @chiaraferragni
Julie Sarinana- Her style is badass. She also posts pictures of delicious food. She's everything I love!
@sincerelyjules

All of the Bloggers out there have their own style, of course. That is what makes it so new and exciting! However, I am going to try to piece together a few things you can expect them to be wearing for NYFW!

Leather Trackies! Comfy and stylish. Basically, every girls dream.  You can find them at: http://www.shopbop.com/

Overalls! One Pieces! Rompers! Whatever you want to call them. They are a one stop shop for awesome. Now, I'd post a picture but overalls come in many different colours and styles! You can get them in a skirt form, shorts, pants, you name it! My favourites are from Topshop. http://www.topshop.com

Booties! Fashionable yet practical. NYFW is fast paced and crazy. You can't be prancing around in shoes that make you want to cry at every step. Come on now, we all know that pain. You can find these practically anywhere. In any colour. Go crazy! Pair them with anything you want, depending on the colour choices of course.

Check out those Fashion Bloggers for a better look in to what you can expect to see! Those would be my quick picks! Can't go wrong!

Lots of love, precious bunnies.

All Black Everything + Back to School Must Haves!

My wardrobe is more bi-polar than the recent weather we've all been experiencing ( Hello, Global Warming! ) Anyways, I go through phases. I'm sure you all can relate. No matter what though, I always end up going back to black. R.I.P Amy Winehouse, you saint. Most of the time I look as though I have just robbed a bank. Beanies and everything. Side note: I'm so excited for fall so I can wear beanies without getting made fun of :( Not that that stops me. Moving on...I feel as though, if you are just starting off trying to completely rebuild your wardrobe, black is always a go to. You can build anything with black.  Now for the unfortunate ( or fortunate ) ones, this time is back to school time! I always looked most forward to this time because it meant new clothes! ( Unless you had to wear the ugly uniforms like I did )
SO...I have a few recommendations for you.
1) The Disco Pants from AA. These babies are pricey but if you take good care of them they will last you forever! Be careful how you wash them. I made the mistake of being lazy with them and now the butt is falling apart. It can be avoided though!
2) Doc Martens. Love/Hate relationship with these guys. I love them because they are beautiful and wonderful and all things lovely. I hate them because they hurt like a bitch to try to break in. Someone recommended jumping in to a hot shower with them on. I may have to try this.
3) Converse. I don't need to explain these ones. They speak for themselves. Any kind, high top or low top. Black, red, white..go crazy! They are wonderful.
4) Cardigans. Oversized anything and everything! Jumpers, Hoodies, Pullovers, Bunny Hugs..depends where you are from. Either way, oversized sweaters will save your life.
5) Beanies! I could be a true Canadian and call them toques but that is just falling victim to the stereotype. Anywho, get a black beanie and you are set for life. I have more beanies than shorts for when it's summer. That says something about a person. I'm weird.

There you go! Now, I realize everyone has different choices in what they think are must have staples for a wardrobe. These just happen to be mine. They are comfy, and remind me of being cuddled by unicorns.
Now, please scroll down to see my OOTD: Bank Robber Edition.
It's an old picture but sh.

Neon Tees and Happy Feet.

First, I need you to understand that wearing this shirt was a big jump out of my comfort zone. I felt like a damn bumblebee all day. However, I liked that it added a nice pop to my normally all black wardrobe. Thanks Mom, for the shirt. I wore it with black skinnys and black converse shoes. Typical. As well as my favourite all gold jewels. Bling bling. I'm still a lover of all clothing that is black but given that is was a nice day, I felt it was necessary.
